At Heritage English Bulldogs, the health and well-being of our puppies are very important to us. We are committed to raising our puppies with proper care, attention, socialization, and veterinary support to help give them a healthy start in life.
Our Health Commitment
Before leaving for their new homes, our puppies receive age-appropriate care, which may include:
• Age-appropriate vaccinations
• Routine deworming
• Veterinary health examination
• Available vaccination and health records
• Regular care and socialization while in our home
We encourage every new puppy family to establish a relationship with a licensed veterinarian and schedule a wellness examination shortly after receiving their puppy.
Initial Veterinary Examination
We ask that you have your puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of receiving your puppy. This examination helps confirm the puppy’s current health and allows you to discuss an appropriate vaccination, nutrition, and preventative-care schedule with your veterinarian.
If your veterinarian identifies a serious health concern during this initial examination, please contact us promptly and provide written documentation from the examining veterinarian.
Genetic Health Guarantee
Our puppies are covered by a one-year limited genetic health guarantee against serious, life-threatening congenital or hereditary conditions that significantly affect the puppy’s quality of life.
If such a condition is diagnosed within the guarantee period, the diagnosis must be confirmed in writing by a licensed veterinarian. We may request an evaluation or second opinion from another licensed veterinarian before determining the appropriate resolution.
Depending on the circumstances and the terms of the puppy’s purchase agreement, an appropriate resolution may be discussed with the family.
What Is Not Covered
This health guarantee does not generally cover illnesses or conditions resulting from accidents, injuries, neglect, improper nutrition, environmental factors, failure to provide appropriate veterinary care, or exposure to infectious diseases after the puppy leaves our care.
Minor or common conditions that are treatable and do not significantly affect the puppy’s long-term quality of life may also be excluded. Breed-related characteristics and conditions that were disclosed before placement may not be covered.
The guarantee does not cover routine veterinary expenses, vaccinations, preventative treatments, or other costs unless specifically stated in the puppy’s written purchase agreement.
Your Responsibility As A New Puppy Parent
Bringing home a puppy is a long-term commitment. We ask every family to provide their puppy with proper nutrition, clean water, safe housing, appropriate exercise, regular veterinary care, vaccinations, parasite prevention, and plenty of love and attention.
Please follow your veterinarian’s recommendations regarding your puppy’s health and avoid exposing a young, incompletely vaccinated puppy to high-risk public areas.
We're Here To Support You
Our relationship with our puppy families does not have to end when your puppy goes home. We are happy to answer reasonable questions and provide guidance as your puppy settles into their new family.
At Heritage English Bulldogs, our goal is to place our puppies in loving, responsible homes and give each family confidence as they begin life with their new companion.
Please note: Our Health Guarantee should be read together with the terms of your individual puppy purchase agreement. Specific coverage, exclusions, time limits, and remedies stated in the signed agreement will apply.
